Dear Moksi Creators,
Four years ago, at OR Tambo, the seed of Moksi was planted. At the time, I couldn’t have envisioned the vibrant community it would become or the invaluable lessons and connections it would bring into my life.
Moksi has been more than just a business; it’s been a passion project, a labour of love, and a testament to the power of creativity and collaboration. Together, we’ve built something truly special.
However, as life evolves, so do our paths. Balancing Moksi alongside our personal and professional commitments has become increasingly challenging for Rodney and me. After much reflection, we’ve made the difficult decision to entrust Moksi to someone who can dedicate the time and resources it deserves.
Enter Lauryl from Huisie. From our first conversation, it was evident that she shares a deep passion for supporting creative entrepreneurs. Her vision aligns seamlessly with Moksi’s ethos, and I am confident that under her stewardship, Moksi will continue to flourish.
Lauryl, alongside her husband Fred, brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective. They are committed to investing in marketing and creating new opportunities for our creators. Rest assured, the essence of Moksi will remain intact, even as it embarks on this new chapter.
Rodney and I will remain involved during the transition over the next three months to ensure a smooth handover. We kindly ask for your support and patience as Lauryl integrates and implements her strategies.
To those of you who have become friends, collaborators, and inspirations—thank you. Your support has been the backbone of Moksi’s journey. Please stay in touch; our shared experiences mean the world to me. I also want to give a special shout-out to Martin, Inge and Rodney who has walked this path alongside me.
As the proud founder of Moksi, I will always be its biggest cheerleader. Here’s to continued growth, creativity, and community – salut!
With heartfelt gratitude,
Madeleine
